Lithology and Thickness

In the Karatau mountains, sandstones (including calcareous) with layers of limestone of incomplete thickness 50 m are attributed to the considered subdivision.

Lower contact

They lie with erosion on the Namurian Bashkirian? limestone-terrigenous sediments.

Upper contact

Overlying sediments are absent.

Regional extent

It is exposed in the Turkestan region, in the Karatau mountains.

Fossils

Sandstones and limestones contain Moscow Eofusutina ex gr. triangula (Raus. et Bel.), Schubertella lata Lee et Chen, Ozawainella ex gr. angulata (Colani).
